A guide to creating a joint venture consortium |
IntroductionIt is quite natural that some people will see the role of the packager as being more attractive than that of a member of a consortium. This is often only the case for a short while until they realize what is involved and how much the balance is swung in favour of those participating in the consortiums. There are however a range of reasons why some people may want to become involved in packaging propositions, and on the next page Packagers we explore this more fully. Clearly for this new economic style to grow and flourish we need both people who are prepared to produce packaged consortium opportunities and those who want to take them up. We need to do all that we can to make sure that the opportunities presented are as valuable and the probability of major successes as good as possible. We also want to make sure that these opportunities represent real value for those participating. This guide is meant for the person looking at becoming a packager, it explains what is involved, the stages, the major considerations, the approval process and far more, from the concept of an idea through to ongoing support once it has been formed. As you read this you may ask yourself why anyone would ever want to become a packager, but will recognize that it represents a formula that does mean that those who do, can complete the process with a high degree of success. At the same time you can see it presents a level of security for those buying into consortiums, they are not just buying hot air, but a well thought out and developed intellectual property right. At this point you don't have to be a member of Property Club International to become a packager, however it is intended at some point in the future that this will be the case. Once this change has occurred, it will be reported here, this will not effect anyone who has already obtained outline approval for their project and we are considering granting honouree membership to people who have, by that date, created one or several consortiums.
